Physician AssistantsThe physician assistant operates under a “Delegation of Responsibilities” which needs to be drafted in advance. We can help prepare these documents for our clients. Furthermore, PA’s services must be performed “incident to” the physician’s encounter. Physician assistants may be insured under the physician’s professional liability (Malpractice) insurance, or the PAs may carry their own professional liability. The physician assistants must be an employee of the hiring entity, and for this reason we don’t offer “Independent Contractor” status for our physician assistants. For billing purposes, most of the billing codes for PA-rendered services may be used as for the physician-offered services.
